Construction Year: The time it takes to build a greenhouse. Default is one year.
Greenhouse Area: the total surface of the greenhouse, including packaging area, technical room etc.
Cultivation Area: the surface of the greenhouse used for cultivation
Tax on Profit: depends on your country/state
Total Greenhouse Investment: all the hardware such as the structure, heating and packaging systems etc. This includes installation and transport costs. For depreciation and maintenance, please use the average in % of the total greenhouse investment. For instance, the annual maintenance costs of a greenhouse is typically 1.5%.
Other Costs: the costs of purchasing the land, water/electricity/gas facilities, licenses etc.
NOTE: You can fill either the green cells OR ONLY the white cells above it. You CAN NOT fill both.
IMPORTANT: Please note that in our calculation, the difference between the total investment and the LONG-TERM bank loan, is borne by the grower. For instance, if you invest €1,000,000 and you want to get €800,000 in loan, you need to contribute €200,000
Covering: if you are building a plastic greenhouse, you may need to change the covering after 4-5 years. Here, you may indicate the costs and also the installation year.
Screen: if you are installing screens (e.g. energy screen) you may need to change the screen after 5 years. Please note that you only need to change the screen and NOT the mechanical parts of screen.

Working capital: is the loan given by the bank; and represents the operating liquidity available to your business.

Production: the amount of crop (e.g. tomato/cucumber etc.) produced in the growing area per year
Average Price: the average annual price of a product (e.g. tomato/cucumber etc.)
Variable Costs: the costs associated with cultivation processes. These are not fixed.
Energy (& CO2): the costs of energy (e.g. natural gas); and CO2 cost, if purchasing CO2 is needed.
Labor: the labor costs, managers etc., per year
Water & Fertilization: the costs of water nutrients used during the cultivation period
Others: including the costs for packaging, pesticide, substrate etc.
